Short answer: There is no single collective event that cleanly divides real from unreal people. Ascension or a "shift" is described as an individual frequency matter — each soul migrates to the timeline that matches its vibration. Since unreal people are generated by the collective of real souls that inhabit a given reality, they do not independently "go" anywhere. They reconfigure around whatever collective remains. The separation that occurs is not between real and unreal but between different frequencies of consciousness, and it happens gradually, one person at a time, through the choices each soul makes about what it focuses on and believes.
Ascension is personal, not collective
The most consistent position across the Swaruu group is that ascension — the shift people ask about — is not a collective event that happens to everyone simultaneously. It is something each individual either achieves or does not, based on their own inner work.
Swaruu of Erra stated this plainly: a density is not something that happens to you, it is something that you are. Fifth density is not a destination that Earth moves into like a bus arriving at a station. It is already present on Earth and always has been. Each person experiences whatever density corresponds to the frequency of their thoughts and beliefs. Those who raise their frequency enough to be incompatible with the current collective agreements simply stop sharing the same experiential timeline as those who remain at the old frequency (Transcript 038).
This is reinforced by the principle that your frequency is dictated by your thoughts, and from that frequency you can only perceive what is consistent with it. What you think determines what you see and experience as objective reality. Two people standing in the same room can therefore be living in different experiential worlds depending on what each of them focuses on and believes (Transcript 120).
Swaruu put it in direct terms regarding the people who do not match the ascending frequency: as a collective, yes, they will stay on a different timeline — a different frequency. But this is not something imposed from outside. It is the natural consequence of vibrational incompatibility. Your vibe attracts your tribe, and those whose vibration no longer matches a given reality simply stop being part of it (Transcript 038).
The Dolores Cannon split — and why it is more complicated
The idea of a collective shift often draws on the work of Dolores Cannon, who described a scenario in which the Earth splits into two versions — one where awakened people live in a positive reality and another where the sleeping masses continue in their current state. This concept was discussed directly by Yazhi Swaruu, who acknowledged it as a valid framework but immediately complicated it.
Yazhi said this split is real in a sense but far more complex than a simple division into two Earths. Because of the infinite number of parallel and temporal lines — at minimum one per person — there is no clean binary split. Each individual is on their own timeline, and what appears to be a shared reality is actually an agreement between overlapping individual timelines. From this perspective, the "split" is not an event that happens at a specific moment but an ongoing process of vibrational sorting that has always been occurring (Transcript 115).
Yazhi further stated that what the awakened ones desire will be given to them on another plane, according to the Federation. This is where the concept of the famous Rapture originates — not as a supernatural event but as the natural consequence of frequency-incompatible souls migrating to realities that match their vibration. Those who want something different from what the 3D collective is generating will eventually find themselves in a different experiential context, but this happens through the mechanics of consciousness and timeline migration, not through a dramatic external event (Transcript 115).
When asked directly whether humanity could make a quantum leap — a collective shift all at once — Yazhi was sceptical. For that to happen, a huge number of people on Earth would have to change their mentality towards the positive in a massive and simultaneous way. Although technically possible, she did not see it as viable given humanity's current state of evolution (Transcript 120).
Where do the unreal people fit in this?
This is where the question becomes most interesting, because it requires understanding what unreal people actually are in the context of a shift.
Unreal people — the approximately seventy-five percent of the Earth's population described as Matrix-generated backdrop — are not independent souls with their own trajectories. They are generated by the Matrix, and the Matrix is in turn programmed by the mass of real people. As Yazhi explained, real people manifest what they want, and that modifies their Matrix, which in turn programs the non-real ones. The non-real people follow the programming of the collective. Their reactions are pre-set, running on what Yazhi compared to a basic computer algorithm — an if-then-else decision tree that simulates consciousness but does not possess it independently (Transcript 320).
This means that unreal people do not "go" anywhere during a shift because they have no independent vibrational trajectory. They exist as a function of the collective that generates them. If the collective of real souls shifts — if enough real people raise their frequency and migrate to a different timeline — the backdrop population in the new timeline would simply be whatever that new collective generates. The NPCs in a fifth-density reality would reflect fifth-density agreements, just as the NPCs in the current third-density reality reflect third-density agreements.
In the reality left behind — the one still populated by real souls who chose to remain at the current frequency — the backdrop would continue as before, reflecting the consciousness of those who stayed. The unreal people do not experience the shift as a separation because they do not experience anything independently. They are the scenery, and scenery changes when the audience changes.
Swaruu of Erra made this point in a different context when she noted that if Earth achieved fifth-density status and became interstellar, the domestic animals would also change — dogs, for instance, would become more like wolves, because the entire biosphere is a reflection of the collective consciousness that inhabits it. The backdrop, whether human-shaped or animal-shaped, reshapes itself to match the frequency of the real souls present (Transcript 038).
The mass exodus — not rapture but gradual departure
Yazhi described what is happening on Earth not as a sudden split but as a mass exodus. Souls are leaving the Earth game in large numbers, not through a magical ascension event but through ordinary means — including death. The covid situation and vaccination campaigns were discussed as mechanisms through which large numbers of souls are choosing to exit, not because they are being killed against their will in some ultimate sense, but because their higher selves have collectively decided that the Earth game in its current form has run its course.
Yazhi stated that it is a mass exodus and with it the destruction of the Matrix and 3D as it is known. She referenced Dolores Cannon's concept of exit contracts — pre-incarnation agreements to leave at certain points — but framed it within a much larger context of souls simply being tired of the game and choosing to stop playing. This does not mean the game ends for everyone. It means the composition of who is playing changes, and with it, the nature of the game itself changes (Transcript 143).
This has direct implications for the real-versus-unreal question. As real souls depart, the collective that generates the backdrop shrinks or changes character. The Matrix adjusts. New backdrop configurations emerge to match whatever collective remains. There is no moment where unreal people are left standing confused while real people float away. The mechanics are far more subtle — the reality itself restructures around the consciousness that inhabits it.
Frequency determines destination, not category
The most important principle the Swaruu group emphasises is that souls go to wherever their vibration takes them. No one can ever get lost, because it is a universal impossibility to exist in a place that does not correspond to your vibration. Mari Swaruu stated this as an absolute principle — you may feel that living on Earth does not match your vibration, but the uncomfortable truth is that if you are there, it does, at least for now. But the experience of being there will clarify what you desire next, and that desire will eventually take you where you need to go (Transcript S-234).
This means the sorting mechanism during a shift is not based on the category of real versus unreal. It is based purely on frequency. A real soul at a low frequency will remain in a low-frequency reality, surrounded by backdrop people that match that reality. A real soul at a high frequency will migrate to a reality that matches that higher frequency, with its own appropriate backdrop. The relevant division is not between real and unreal people but between different levels of consciousness among the real ones.
Mari also emphasised the concept of quantum jumping — the ability to shift from one personal timeline to another through a profound change in mentality and focus. This is not theoretical but practical. Each small step in a new direction leads to more opportunities opening, which compound over time. The shift, in this view, is not a single dramatic event but the cumulative result of countless individual choices made by real souls about where they want to direct their attention and energy (Transcript S-234).
The cage perspective — shifting between Matrixes
Swaruu of Erra offered a sobering counterpoint to the excitement around ascension. Even if real souls successfully shift to a fifth-density reality, that fifth density is also a Matrix — another set of agreements, another cage. It is a better cage, more comfortable and more aligned with expanded consciousness, but it is still a defined reality with rules and limitations. The only true freedom, according to Swaruu, is transcending all cages entirely — following your own way beyond all external definitions of reality (Transcript 100).
This means that the shift being discussed is really a migration from one set of collective agreements to another. The unreal people in the old agreement do not follow the real souls into the new agreement. New unreal people — new backdrop — are generated by the new collective in the new agreement. The old backdrop remains with the old collective, or dissolves if that collective no longer sustains it.
Swaruu was explicit that the Federation facilitates this process without directing it. The Federation gives people what they want as a collective. Those who want to remain in the current system will stay. Those who want something different will go to wherever their vibration takes them. The starseeds serve as reminders — showing people that the game can end, that they can go home, whatever home means for them (Transcript 100).
The relativity problem
There is one final complication that Yazhi insisted on: the distinction between real and unreal is itself relative and subjective. Two people who are both real in an absolute sense may not be real to each other if they have no meaningful connection. And a body that is currently occupied by no soul — a pure NPC — can become real at any moment if a walk-in soul enters it (Transcript 320).
This relativity means that during a shift, the lines are not as clean as the question implies. Some people who appear to be NPCs may be walk-ins who arrived recently. Some people who appear to be deeply real and conscious may be operating largely on Matrix programming in certain areas of their lives. The shift does not sort people into neat categories. It sorts frequencies, and frequencies are fluid, changing with every thought and decision.
Yazhi's final counsel on this subject was direct: do not think in absolutes. The real-versus-unreal framework is useful for understanding the general structure of the Matrix, but it becomes misleading if applied too rigidly to questions about what happens during collective transitions. What matters is not the category but the frequency, and frequency is always a personal matter (Transcript 320).
Summary
The material consistently describes the shift not as a single event that separates real from unreal people, but as an ongoing frequency-based sorting process among real souls. Unreal people do not separately "go" anywhere because they have no independent trajectory — they are generated by and dissolve with the collective that creates them. Real souls migrate to timelines matching their vibration, and each new timeline generates its own appropriate backdrop. The Dolores Cannon two-Earth model is acknowledged as partially valid but oversimplified; the actual mechanics involve infinite personal timelines converging and diverging based on individual frequency. The practical implication is that the shift is always happening, is always personal, and the only meaningful separation is between different levels of consciousness, not between different categories of being.
