Short Answer

The Urmah are the dominant feline species in the galaxy — lions and tigers walking on two legs, standing at approximately the same height as their animal counterparts on Earth, with short legs, long spines, and tails ending in a ball of hair. They are to felines what the Alpha Draconians are to reptilians: the apex species of their biological family, colonies on thousands of planets, Federation members, and among the most feared warriors in the galaxy despite being, by all accounts, deeply spiritual, empathic, and no longer carnivorous.

Their homeworld is in the star system Vega, on the planets Lyra and Avalon — the same worlds where Lyrian humans originated — and they coexisted peacefully with the Lyrians for as long as records exist. Their second-largest colony is on Sirius. They are led at the Earth theatre by King Ruhr of Avalon, who commands from the flagship Avyon One, and they maintain a significant presence in Earth orbit as part of the broader stellar alliance.

The material describes them as hyperbolised in every way — everything gold, everything magnificent, everything ornamented. Their aesthetic is compared to Richard Wagner's music: all metal, all trumpets, all epic. Males wear high-tech gold armour in a Roman ceremonial style with long red capes. Their homes are enormous Roman-style halls with pillars, torches, cat-themed statues and sphinxes, and carvings in wood and metal. Their ships are solid U-shaped craft, highly polished metallic, with total warp capacity.

Origin and Distribution

The Urmah originate from Vega, specifically the planets Lyra and Avalon. This is significant because these are the same worlds that humanity's Lyrian ancestors came from — meaning felines and humanoids have coexisted from the very beginning of known interstellar civilisation. Swaruu describes the relationship as "peaceful symbiosis" (117). They have colonies on thousands of planets across the galaxy, with the largest concentration on Vega and a major second colony on Sirius.

Their presence across the galaxy makes them one of the most widely distributed species. They are members of the Federation of United Planets, though like the Taygetans, their relationship with the Federation has been strained. In the 2020 revelation about the Federation's true nature (086), the Urmah were among the races pushed out of the Federation council alongside Taygeta and the Engans, branded as "scandalous" and "too communicative."

Physical Description and Biology

Swaruu's foundational description (117) establishes the basics: lions or tigers on two feet, the same size as their Earth equivalents. Short legs relative to their long spines. Tails with a ball of hair at the end. They are alpha predators who evolved beyond predation — formerly very invasive, now pacific and spiritual. They still eat meat but only synthetic, manufactured versions. They no longer hunt.

The S-266 series (Mari Swaruu's healing experience) provides the most vivid firsthand physical descriptions from someone who stood next to them. King Ruhr is described as a white lion. The legendary General Korakas, Minister of Defence, is described as a huge white tiger in silver armour standing nearly 3.5 metres tall and incredibly muscular, with one yellow eye and one light blue eye. The scale is emphasised repeatedly — taking one of Arishah's fingers as a hand because the full hand was too large, sitting in an Urmah seat with a tail hole and feeling like a three-year-old child.

The air aboard Urmah ships is described as heavier to breathe and smelling like cat (S-266). Their communication is mainly telepathic, though they can speak — they simply do not pronounce well. They purr frequently and are described as very loving, allowing themselves to be hugged despite their intimidating size.

Military Culture and Power

The Urmah are described as "very militarised and exaggerated in everything" (117). Their military aesthetic mirrors their general culture — everything gold, everything hyperbolised. Males wear high-tech armour in a Roman ceremonial style with long red capes, and they carry identical gold sceptres shaped like elongated cats with a roaring lion head at one end and a lion skull at the other (S-266).

Despite being only about ten per cent of an Alpha Draco's mass, the Urmah are described as equally dominant — "ferocity equal" with the Alpha Draconians, who are the largest predator species in the galaxy. This is presented as a remarkable achievement: mutual respect between the galaxy's two apex predator lineages, one weighing twelve tonnes and the other a fraction of that (110). Even the Alpha Dracos fear the Urmah in combat (117).

Their flagship Avyon One is described as immense — appearing as an indefinitely extending wall of polymorphic titanium when approached by shuttle (S-266). The healing ceremony described in S-266/267 involved at least thirty male lions and tigers in full gala armour and golden war masks, beating war drums with strength that shook the core, and performing coordinated roars that echoed through the chamber. The ceremony was performed exclusively by the largest and strongest sub-races — lions and tigers — with smaller sub-races like panthers and leopards absent, interpreted as a deliberate demonstration of peak feline strength (S-268).

Spirituality and the "Great Cosmic Cat"

The Urmah have their own version of Source theology, represented as what they call the "Great Cosmic Cat." Swaruu explains that when studied closely, this is simply their version of Original Source — the same ultimate reality that all advanced interstellar races converge upon, each with their own cultural flavour (117). Swaruu notes that all advanced races perceive spirituality in fundamentally the same way, with only species-specific "taste" — and that the fact that race after race arrives at the same conclusions independently corroborates that they are on the right track.

The S-series healing account reveals a deeper dimension. The Urmah's perception naturally includes aspects that Lyrians consider "astral realms" — for the Urmah, these are simply part of normal objective reality. They are described as far more spiritual and etheric than Lyrian species, physically living partially in what Lyrians call the spirit world. Most human-type Lyrians lack the consciousness level to fully comprehend the Urmah's perceptual range (S-268).

The healing ceremony performed on Mari Swaruu used no technology whatsoever — only natural sounds, drums, chanting in ancient Urmah language, and coordinated purring from thirty-plus cats (S-266). The method is described as thousands of years old. During the ceremony, Mari was taken into what she describes as a white void where she encountered an immense luminous blue lion — made of blue flames, with piercing white eyes — identified as the spirit of an ancient Urmah king (S-267). This entity diagnosed her condition (cross-timeline attachment cords), cut the harmful connections, and told her she was an Urmah soul living in a Lyrian body. Twenty-two days later, her type 1 diabetes was completely cured (S-268).

Mari's conclusion from the experience: no matter how advanced medical technology becomes, it cannot heal if the true cause resides in the spirit. The Urmah understand this natively because their perception does not artificially separate the physical from the etheric.

Connection to Earth Cats

Domestic cats on Earth were not introduced by the Urmah but by the Taygetans, during ancient Egypt before the classic phase — approximately 8,000 years ago. Swaruu describes cats walking down the ramps of Taygetan ships and becoming prolific without birth control (117). There are no reliable records of domestic cats on Earth before this period.

However, the Urmah claim that small and large cats, including domesticated ones, are their starseeds on Earth (117). This is presented as the Urmah's own claim rather than independently verified by the Taygetans. The concept is that feline souls incarnate across species — a cat on Earth may carry an Urmah soul experiencing a simpler incarnation, just as a human might carry a Taygetan or other stellar soul.

The connection goes both ways. In the S-267 account, when Mari was being guided out of the astral healing vision, it was a small orange striped house cat that appeared as her guide — answering with a meow, walking away with its tail upright making a hook, leading her back to material consciousness. The orange domestic cat, in an Urmah ceremonial context, served as the bridge between the spirit world and the physical.

Urmah and Earth History

The Urmah were physically present on Earth approximately 10,000 to 8,000 BC, during a period of multicultural extraterrestrial presence in the region of Egypt. Their presence was interactional rather than colonial — they did not establish permanent colonies on Earth but participated in the broader multi-species contact that shaped early Egyptian civilisation (117). The Sphinx and Sekhmet traditions are the most visible remnants of their influence.

In the current era, the Urmah maintain a presence in Earth orbit. Their expedition is led by King Ruhr of Avalon. They have backed the Taygetan position on multiple occasions — described as the muscle behind Taygeta's diplomatic stance (155). When the Federation pushed Taygeta out of the council, the threat of Urmah displeasure was one of the few things that carried weight.

The Urmah Principle: "You Can Never Order a Cat"

One of the most revealing details in the material is Mari Swaruu's observation that you almost cannot ask the Urmah for help — they must come to you (S-268). Mari did not request the healing; she was invited. The Urmah decided it was in their interest that she heal and acted accordingly. This parallels the behaviour of domestic cats on Earth in a way that the material treats as more than coincidence: the feline disposition toward independence, toward helping on their own terms, appears to be a species-wide trait that scales from house cats to interstellar civilisations.

As Mari puts it: you can never order a cat to do anything. The feline must want to cooperate.

Evolution Across Speakers

Swaruu of Erra (2020) provides the foundational description: physical characteristics, Vega origin, Lyrian coexistence, military culture, the Great Cosmic Cat theology, cats on Earth as Taygetan introduction, Urmah-Egypt connection.

Aneeka of Temmer (2021) adds the geopolitical context: Urmah awakening percentage assessment (disagreeing with Federation's optimistic 51% figure, estimating 10%), Urmah as key ally backing Taygetan position, Gaia as conscious being with Urmah among the races closest to understanding her.

Mari Swaruu (2024) provides the most intimate account: the three-part healing series gives a first-person physical experience of being aboard an Urmah ship, witnessing their ceremonial practices, receiving an astral healing, and the aftermath including a complete cure of type 1 diabetes. Introduces the concept of Urmah souls in Lyrian bodies (starseeds across species, not just Earth-bound) and the observation that Urmah perception naturally includes what other races call the astral.
