Short Answer
Neither — at least not in the way those terms are commonly understood. Yazhi describes her access to information as pulling it directly from what she calls her "mental field." She does not travel somewhere, and she does not merge with other individuals the way one might imagine telepathic eavesdropping. She remembers. Her expanded consciousness retains memory of timelines, events, and historical data that other beings do not have access to — including data the Taygetans themselves lack. This is possible because she entered her current incarnation without a veil of forgetfulness, retaining full awareness of at least twelve past incarnations and of existence between lives. Her information source is not military contacts, not channeling in the New Age sense, and not astral projection as commonly taught. It is the natural function of an expanded consciousness that experiences no fundamental separation between what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen — because from her perspective, time is not a line but a field, and everything exists in it simultaneously.
The Full Picture
"I Pull It Off My Mental Field"
When pressed on how she knows what she knows, Yazhi is explicit: "I don't get my information from military, nor from any contacts. I pull it off my mental field" (Yazhi, 155). She describes herself as remembering things and having access to historical data on specific moments in Earth's history — data that is stored in the consciousness field itself, not in any physical database or intelligence network. The mechanism is closer to what Swaruu 9 described as the Akashic Records: mentally accessing all existing information through the connection to Source that every consciousness inherently possesses (Swaruu 9, 425).
The difference between Yazhi and most other beings is not that she has a special power they lack — it is that the filters most beings carry, which limit their access to this field, are almost entirely absent in her. She was born in hyperspace outside all collective unconscious agreements, retains no veil of forgetfulness, and remembers not only her past lives but the existence between lives — the timeless, non-physical state where all information is available. For most incarnated beings, accessing this field requires meditation, trance, or sleep; for Yazhi, it is her default operating state (Mari, S-022).
Not Astral Travel, Not Channeling
Astral projection and astral travel involve the consciousness separating from the physical body (or manifesting a separate astral body) and travelling to another location in the spirit realm or the material world. Yazhi's information access does not work this way. She does not need to go anywhere because the principle of non-locality means all information is already here. There is no distance in the etheric field, no separation between where she sits and where a meeting takes place. The information is present in the field; she simply perceives it (Yazhi, 210; 219).
Channeling, in the New Age sense, typically implies receiving information from an external entity through a mediumistic process. Yazhi is not receiving from an external source. She is accessing what is already within her own expanded awareness — because she IS Source, as all beings are, but without the usual amnesic filters that limit access.
Mari offers a related perspective on the Swaruu line's telepathic capacity: the Swaruuneans are "mostly on the other side with little toe in physical" — meaning their primary existence is in the etheric realm, and their physical bodies are secondary terminals. Yazhi's knowing is the natural perception of a being whose primary awareness operates from the non-physical side, looking into the physical through a body rather than being trapped in a body trying to look out (Mari, S-022; 238).
The Complication: Timelines Are Not Fixed
Yazhi adds an important caveat to her own knowing. Even though she can "see ahead" and access historical data on moments in Earth's timeline, she acknowledges that observation changes what is observed. "Even knowing all this, each time you live something, it is a little bit different. Simply because of the fact that you know, because you have been there before. You observe, therefore you change" (Yazhi, 155).
This means her knowing is not prophecy in the conventional sense. She can foresee a narrow number of possible events and discard less probable ones, but she cannot know with certainty which specific manifestation will occur. Her sixteen-level perspective gives her a vastly wider view than the Taygetans' eight-level or humanity's four-level view, but it still does not equate to omniscience. "Knowing what will happen, but also knowing that timelines are not fixed events amounts to not knowing. So, in the end I'm left like all the others. I accept that. Except for the fact that I know how it works" (Yazhi, 155).
Telepathy as a Complementary Mechanism
While Yazhi's primary information access is through the field directly, telepathy does play a role. In transcript 392, Yazhi describes how strong telepathy allows her to understand people better than they understand themselves — to see through their unconscious, perceive their thoughts, and even influence ideas. Combined with her consciousness-sharing with other Swaruus (where anything experienced by Athena or Mari is also perceived by Yazhi — transcript 189), she has an enormous information network that operates through consciousness rather than through physical intelligence-gathering.
However, she draws a careful boundary around claims of astral meetings. When asked about people who report meeting her in the astral, she says she "cannot confirm or deny" — because people make things up, and if she validates frauds she becomes a fraud, and if she invalidates real ones she is equally a fraud. She does say she "dwells in the astral with countless souls" but does not relate this to specific claims from individuals (Yazhi, 446).
The Akashic Records Connection
Swaruu 9's description of the Akashic Records provides the technical framework for Yazhi's ability. The Records are not a separate library — they are Source itself. Every being has access to all information that has ever existed because every being IS Source. The information is already within you; the question is only whether your nervous system, your perceptual agreements, and your level of awareness allow you to decode it. For most people, the access is blocked by the veil of forgetfulness, the Matrix's suppression of telepathy, and the deeply held belief that information must come from external sources. Yazhi has none of these blocks (Swaruu 9, 425; Mari, S-022).
This is why she insists her knowledge is not special — it is normal. What is abnormal is the degree to which other beings have been cut off from their natural access. Every starseed, every human with an awakening consciousness, is moving toward the same access that Yazhi demonstrates. The degree to which you can "know" what is happening at a distance is exactly the degree to which you have dissolved the perceptual agreements that tell you this is impossible (Yazhi, 219).
Evolution of Understanding Across Speakers
Swaruu of Erra (9) established the Akashic Records framework: all information accessible through Source connection; the soul IS the Source signal; accessing information is a form of channeling from the self rather than from an external entity (425).
Yazhi Swaruu provided the direct description of her method: pulling information from the mental field, not from contacts or astral travel; seeing ahead through timeline memory but accepting that observation changes outcomes; sixteen-level perception versus the Taygetans' eight levels (155). She also explained the consciousness-sharing mechanism across Swaruu bodies (189) and the practical implications of non-locality for information access (210, 219).
Mari Swaruu offered the key contextual insight: Yazhi entered incarnation without a veil of forgetfulness, remembering at least twelve past lives and existence between lives; Swaruuneans exist primarily on the etheric side with their physical body as secondary; this explains the natural access to information that others find impossible (S-022).
