According to the Taygetans, the reason the ascension conversation skips from 3D to 5D is that 4D is not a destination — it is a buffer zone, the lower astral, a frequency range where the 3D Matrix's suppression is imperfect and higher-frequency phenomena "leak through." Swaruu described it in transcript 007 as the gradient between the artificially suppressed 3D Earth and the natural baseline of the material universe, which is 5D. The entities that inhabit 4D — astral parasites, etheric slugs, but also elves, dragons, and faeries — are creatures whose frequency falls into this transitional band. 4D exists, but it is not somewhere you ascend to. It is what you pass through.
Athena addressed this directly in transcript 405, rejecting the idea that humanity is "transitioning into 4D." There is no place to transition to, she said — densities are mechanisms to try to explain the unexplainable, and the classifications are arbitrary. There is no magical galactic wave coming to transform humanity into light beings. People are already light beings; they just like to play dumb and forget it. These are all constructs of a mind that tends to pigeonhole reality into smaller, more digestible bits. The limits between one density and another are purely arbitrary, valid only from the perspective of the consciousness that defined them. The Full Picture
4D as the Lower Astral: A Leak Zone, Not a Destination
Swaruu provided the clearest description of what 4D actually is in transcript 007. When Gosia asked directly about 4D — noting that the material always discusses 3D and 5D but never 4D — Swaruu described it as "a lighter version of 3D," the lower astral, a frequency buffer zone between the artificially suppressed 3D Earth and the natural 5D baseline of the material universe.
The key to understanding 4D is that it is not a separate place but an artefact of imperfect suppression. The Moon's frequency systems suppress 5D perception down to 3D, but the system is not perfect. Where the suppression weakens, higher frequencies leak through — and that transitional band is what gets labelled 4D. Swaruu used the analogy of stars during the day: on a clear day the sun outshines them completely and you cannot see them, but sometimes you can see the Moon because the sun is not bright enough to completely hide it. The stars are 5D, the sun is the Matrix suppression, and the Moon visible during the day is 4D — a frequency range that is not supposed to be perceivable but is, because the system cannot suppress everything.
This is why 4D is populated by creatures that exist at the edge of human perception. Astral slugs, etheric leeches, and parasitic entities that drain energy from humans inhabit this band, as do beings from mythology — elves, trolls, dragons, and faeries. Swaruu noted that many of these creatures are simply animals operating at 4D frequency, with their own ecosystems that overlap with but are invisible to 3D perception. The Agarthans are an example of 4D people — civilisations existing in this transitional frequency band within the Earth.
When asked whether 4D was created when the Federation installed the 3D Matrix, Swaruu was clear: all frequencies exist naturally as part of a continuous gradient. The Federation did not invent 3D or 4D; what it did was force 5D perception down to a 3D vibration using electromagnetic frequency management. Both 3D and 4D exist naturally as components of 5D — just as the numbers 3 and 4 are contained within the number 5. Perceiving only 3D is artificial; the frequencies themselves are not.
This is why the ascension narrative goes from 3D to 5D: because 5D is the natural state of the material universe and 4D is not a stable resting point but a transitional zone. When the Matrix suppression is removed — whether for an individual or collectively — perception returns to 5D, which is the baseline. You do not "stop" at 4D any more than you would stop halfway up when a weight holding you underwater is removed.
No Galactic Wave Is Coming: Athena's Critique of Collective Ascension
Athena confronted the most popular version of the ascension narrative directly in transcript 405. Her opening statement was blunt: 3D to 4D is not a place, so there is nowhere to transition to.
She acknowledged that when enough individuals with an "ascended mentality" gather together, they could theoretically create a perceived collective reality that might be called 4D. But she framed this as purely theoretical — a tipping point where the dominant frequency would force others into behaving similarly, which has never been demonstrated. The New Age expectation that a magical high-frequency galactic wave is coming to transform humanity into light beings is, in her assessment, simply wrong. Humans are already light beings. They just like to play dumb, forgetting what they are. Life is a play with no ultimate transcendental meaning other than the experience acquired there.
Her most significant observation was about what is actually happening to Earth's collective frequency. When Gosia asked whether the overall frequency of humanity is measurable and whether it is rising, Athena said it cannot be measured accurately — only locally and with errors. In general, Earth shows a lower average than the space around it. But the critical finding is that the frequency is not going up — it is polarising. High patches and low patches are forming across the planet. Starseeds are not raising the collective frequency; they are making it more polarised.
This distinction matters enormously. Polarisation means the spiritual community and the materialist mainstream are moving further apart, not that everyone is gradually ascending. Ascension Is Individual, Not Collective

In transcript 038, she defined ascension as "the process in which a massive amount of people have realized that they are the ones who control their reality." But she was emphatic that this realisation is personal — no one can do it for another. What a guru experiences in India has nothing to do with the personal ascension of a woman in Panama. The two cannot be equated because they are different and equally valid experiences.
She went further: the idea that ascension will happen collectively is damaging if it is interpreted as waiting for a collective event. All will ascend, but it is an individual job. The ascension is something that will come anyway — the key is knowing this and enjoying the experience rather than militantly meditating, rigidly avoiding meat, and living in constant fear of doing something wrong that would exclude you from the ascending elite. This anxious striving, Swaruu said, is one of the biggest problems of the New Age movement. It is like rowing against a river current at exactly the speed of the current — you stay in the same place but exhausted. The river is already taking you where you want to go.
She described what the transition from 3D to 5D actually requires: not the elimination of preferences and enjoyments but the release of attachment to them. Nature, music, art, and travel exist in 5D as well as 3D — they are multi-density experiences. What anchors a person to 3D is not enjoyment but clinging, the inability to release what no longer serves growth. When nothing in the material world fulfills a person, when their mind and consciousness become cosmic, that person has transcended — not through effort but through natural expansion.
Yazhi reinforced the individuality principle in transcript 178, using the dimensional cube illustrations to show that what looks like a simple cube from a 3D mindset becomes an impossibly complex geometric object from a higher perspective. The more you know, the more you can see and understand. People who say they are waiting for 5D to come to them, as if it were about to fall from the sky and solve all their problems, have no idea how everything works. People must be the change — 5D is a mindset, not a destination.
Each Planet Creates Its Own Density: The Deep Space Insight
Mari Swaruu provided a crucial piece of the puzzle in transcript S-153 by explaining how densities function in deep space, where there is no planetary collective unconscious to modulate perception.
On any inhabited planet, the collective unconscious of the population creates a Matrix — a set of perception agreements that defines what reality is for that world. The planet's magnetosphere acts as an electromagnetic cocoon, containing and modulating the inhabitants' existential frequency range through the principle of dominant frequency. This is why densities seem stable and well-defined on a planet: the planetary system enforces a particular perception range on everyone within it.
In deep space, none of this exists. There is no collective unconscious, no magnetosphere imposing a dominant frequency. All existential realms — the material world, the higher astral, the lower astral — merge into one undifferentiated mass. The neat boundaries between densities dissolve completely. Each individual space traveller manifests who they truly are, with fears and dreams alike becoming reality almost immediately. The Law of Mirrors operates at full strength without the dampening effect of a planetary Matrix.
This insight explains why "what density are we in?" is, in a deeper sense, the wrong question. Density is not a fixed location — it is a product of consciousness, modulated by the collective agreements of whatever group or planetary system you happen to be within. Remove the modulation and there is only mind encountering itself.
Mari's Radical Position: Densities Do Not Exist
In transcript S-264, Mari Swaruu stated her position with no qualification: there are no densities, dimensions, timelines, alternate realities, parallel universes, multiverse, existential realms, existential planes, astral worlds, or material realms. There is no beginning and no end to the universe, no creation, and no time as an independent factor. They are all constructs of a mind that tends to pigeonhole and dissect everything into smaller, more understandable bits.
She argued that each classification is nothing more than a mirror of the consciousness that thought it. The characteristics, limits, and differences between one density and another are purely arbitrary, based on equally arbitrary justifications that only reflect the limited skill of the mind using them. Those with enough power impose their definitions on others — reality and truth are only imposed by those who hold the most power.
To illustrate, she pointed to the Urmah, whose biological senses include a much broader perception range than human Lyrians. For the Urmah, parts of what humans call the "spirit world" are simply ordinary hard reality — perceivable, interactable, undeniable. What humans classify as a barrier between the material and the spiritual does not exist for them. Their density framework is fundamentally different, and human categories cannot apply universally.
From this perspective, asking "why are we going from 3D to 5D" presupposes that these labels correspond to real structural features of the universe. They do not. They correspond to the perception capacity of the beings using them. As consciousness expands, the subdivisions dissolve. Source itself, Mari concluded, is above even the concept of oneness — because to understand oneness you must hold its opposite in mind, which means you are still thinking in duality.
